Week 71 -Elder Young Pictures

Week 70:Pictures of Elder Young

We made a plan of salvation thing to show people at the door. Everyone rejected us that day. We had contacted the same people so many times.

Week 69: Elder Young _Lots of amazing experiences

Well I have a bunch of amazing miracles that have happened but I haven't written in my journal haha whooops. I feel like Joseph Smith after the first vision and not writing it down for almost a decade (but in this case it's just until monday.

So some fun things...hmm what would the people like to hear... Bullet points lets go with that

· German Clac- We met him visiting with Fidel, he is a less active. We had an amazing spiritual lesson with them and the family of like 8, now all of them are going to church and German has recently given up drinking and we visit their family 3 times a week. I always sing them little songs in my ukulele and we help them read scriptures like a family. I feel real at home with them, its like my family. There are so many and the mom speaks quiche so we have a connection haha. I love them

· Family Garcia- They are another less active family that came to church after we invited them they come to my English and piano classes every single Saturday without fail. The dad has decided to stop drinking too and they have come to church twice in the last 3 weeks. We are trying to help Jackie the little girl of 9 get baptized. Wow that was something so touching. She said she wanted to get baptized and helped us fill out the form but then when it got to who she started crying with her mom because her dad can’t baptize here until a couple of months when he gives up drinking and gets active. So she put down families can be together forever as the hymn and let her mom give the talks. She wants to wait for her dad to get able to baptize her so we will see. That was a touching moment. I am definitely going to stay worthy as a man so that I can have the high honor of baptizing my kids and continue to give powerful priesthood blessings.

· Michelle the convert- Michele who we baptized about 1 month ago is going to be an EFY counselor this year haha I was so happy to see her when she told me about that. She has been faithful every week since we went to do baptisms together. She is so awesome.

· Dream of Arnoldo- This is the second dream or spiritual awakening Arnaldo has had. He dreamt of us three standing together and he said that we were all sad together because he didn’t get baptized on the date we had planned. So right when he came back he told us (2 days ago) lets talk as soon as possible about baptism.

· Franklyn and the Libro de Mormon- He is so sincere. He quit his job in the government because his boss asked him to do something corrupt that was against his morals towards the Guatemalan people. So he quit and said ‘ I know that God will give me a better job because of it’ He has been so positive. He went to church but when he went to read the book of Mormon. He said that a huge supernatural spiritual fear came over him. He started pacing around the room and stayed up until 4 that night in fear and never opened it.

It so happened that that day we planned to read chapter 1 with him. We did and he loved reading it. I felt so inspired and lead him to passages that he needed to hear to give him peace. The spirit worked through me to help calm his fear and help him move forward.

We have also visited a lot of less actives and I’ve had words put into my mouth. I decided pray to God and say okay Put the words in my mouth and as I talked the words came. One lady was in tears and quoted from what I had said.

It has been such a great experience

But anyway. Lots of amazing experiences. From here on out I am going to always always leave every Sunday to go sing hymns with less actives every week. Its fun. I love it

Elder Young Week 68:Loving the Less Actives

A guy, Frankly showed up and we went with him he gave us his umbrella and we taught an extremely spiritual lesson it was amazing and they loved it. Felt great.

We had 5 people come to church, also 2 less active families came to church too because we went and visited them that is like 14 people that came to the church because of our diligent efforts.

Just visit less actives. They come back.

When I get back I am going to go out every Sunday with my uke.

By the way the ukulele works so well. We sing hymns with all the less actives and they are like our best friends now, They love it. and they came back.

I love visiting less actives, four less actives kids came to church that haven't been baptized too because of that, They want to be baptized soon.

Week 67:Elder Young -A quick message about the week

Ha sido una buena semana. Deberíamos ver algunos bautismos más en esta área pronto. Walter y Marleni estaban a punto de ser bautizados, pero se mudaron y no han regresado. Arnaldo debería ser batido esta semana. los miembros están empezando a trabajar con nosotros un montón más y hemos empezado a salir y visitarlos todos los domingos por la noche. Ha funcionado muy bien. Creo que todas las noches de los domingos deberían ser para visitas con el quórum de élderes. . Todo está bien.

It has been a good week. We should see some more baptisms in this area soon. Walter and Marleni were about to be baptized, but they moved and have not returned. Arnaldo should be baptized this week. The members are starting to work with us a lot more and we have started going out and visiting them every Sunday night. It has worked very well. I think every Sunday night should be for visits with elders quorum. . Everything is fine.
