Week 17:Visit from Elder Alonzo of the Seventy

Elder Alonzo of the Seventy visited and so I got to play piano for that meeting of almost all the mission. This is what struck me the most from his meeting.

He said that when he sees people suffering or discouraged he says to himself ''Ah, they only suffer because they do not know Christ as I do'

He said '' I want to start off by saying I don't believe Christ lives. I know it. I know Him. When the plane starts to shake as I fly, I am upset only because the rumbling in my stomach from the turbulence. I have no fear of death, and I love life: I know Christ''

Wow...

Can you imagine? Brevity is better for letter writing, so if nothing else I'd like to express that truth:

Through this church, through the blessings of Christ's atonement, we can have no guilt in life and no fear in death.

He said that any and all suffering in this world comes from having an incomplete or incorrect understanding of the doctrine of Christ.

I'm positive that the happiest person in this world isn't the man with the most money. It's the man with the cleanest conscience, a man who lives his life to glory God and is lost in the work of the Lord.

Think about that until you do something about it....

That's my challenge to both all who read this and myself.
