Top ten things I love about Guatemala
1. Quiche
2. I like how everyone calls everyone brother
3. I love the bread on every street corner
4. I love the rain
5. I love how you don't have to worry about prices because everything is a bargain when thinking in dollars
6. I like how everyone believes in God almost without exception. Everyone acknowledges the afterlife and the concept of morality.
7. I love the humility of the people and the Corte that they wear to symbolize their heritage and the fact that the old ladies are so not afraid to wear it.
8. I love the food and the fact that you can get full every meal by utilizing the tortillas and it's very cheap.
9. I like how people actually talk to people in the streets, walk together, have Nokia telephones, go to church every week, greet strangers in the street, invite people in their house, and work hard.
10. I love being a missionary, depending on the Lord in all my thoughts, words and actions. I love showing my love for Him by my obedience and constant course correction. If the mission is like the sea, God is the tidal wave. We can either surf it, learn tons, have a blast, enjoy it like crazy, allowing the power to take you along as you do your best to stay afloatñ or you can fight it by trying to swim against it and get thrown down repetitively against the unstoppable force. I've learned these past two days to go along with God's power and they've been great. I have much more faith. I am less stressed. I am trying my best. It's going great.
Baptism of Angela and Milady. Amazing day.
