Week 81:Happy Birthday Mom-Poems written by Elder Blake Young

Poem: Mom, you are turning 49
You've been hear a long time
You're still as beautiful as ever
Gautamalans always say
"She looks so young"
Without even knowing your last name
I'm sure other moms are jealous
Wishing they looked like you
On their 49th birthday
But alas, you are not 20
Still, don't think about being tired
Think instead about
2 AM science projects
3 sons through seminary
3 sons on misisons
Don't ever be stressed
Think instead about
7 shoulders to lean on
6 sons to call
7 men who love you
Don't count the years
Instead count the blessings
100s of piano songs
1000s of converts
Tens of thousands of scholarhip money
Hundreds of thousands of laughes
Millions of memories
Mom,
You'll never age more than the sum of your sons
Don't worry about the world
For you have your own
The world's best husband
The world's only true gospel
6 world's of respect
Don't be discouraged
Remember how
You have encouraged us
They say that love comes back
Let it all come back to you
If you feel worry
Be still
You are loved
You are cherished
You are cared for
You are praised
You are rememberd
Mom,
All of these things you are
X6

1 You have babysitted everyone of us
2 Because of you we are still alive, healthy, and wise
3 You've given countless masages and unlimited hugs and kisses
4 Because of you we feel loved
5 Because of that we can face the world with confidence
6 The less you've slept
7 The more opportunities we've had
8 You told me the importance of the mission
9 You've baptized many through your teachings
10 You've fed me and all my brothers
11 You should win a noble prize just for that
12 You've put us all to sleep so many times
13 Because of that we aren't afraid to reach our dreams
14 You've put the smile on my face, when people ask about my mom
15 You've served us much icecream and let us delight in fatness
16 You stayed for my sportsgames
17 You lit the candles at my birthdays
18 You've recorded my life on paper and camera
19 You've counseled me about how to live
20 Because of that I've lived well
21 You've told dad to slow down on long road trips
22 Because of that I'm alive (haha)
23 You've cohosted family nights
24 You've forced me to play piano
25 By both I have been greatly edified
26 You did your "shshsh"ing sound in the car
27 Now I'm not afraid to sing
28 You've put aside my finanical frantics
29 And bought me vacations that I will never forget
30 You support family reunions
31 You've subbed for my class
32 You've put on my shin gaurds and mixed my gatorade
33 Because of that I plan on doing the same to my kids
34 You've put me before you
35 You've put God before me
36 Because of that I plan on doing the same to my kids
37 You've cleaned the messy house
38 You've made delicious bread
39 You take us to church every Sunday
40 Because of that I have grown spiritually
41 You've taken us to the temple
42 You've sealed us to you
43 You've put up with all our wining
44 And picked up our golfish crumbs in the church pew
45 You've encouraged me when I was down
46 You've taught me to take changes
47 You've passed the flame of faith to me
48 You've been an amazing of God
49 You are one of the biggest reasons that I am here.
